A Scouts Perspective is Your Daily Cowboys Football Fix’ brand new Radio Talk Show. It is hosted by our in-house scout, Mike Ray.

cowboys vs packers recap on a scouts perspective

In our ongoing effort to provide the premier Cowboys’ fan experience, we wanted to be able to offer comprehensive coverage of the Dallas Cowboys, their opponents, their players, the NFL Draft as a whole and on potential draft prospects for the Cowboys. A Scouts Perspective will give you a unique insight on all things football.

In this episode of a Scouts Perspective Mike will answer three questions.

  • 1.Did Aaron Rodgers attack Mo Claiborne in the slot matchup as Washington did?
  • 2. Did this team manufacture a victory to keep the fantasy playoff hopes alive?
  • 3. Has Matt Cassel earned another spot on the bench and paved the way for a look at Kellen Moore before it’s too late?

Also in this episode of a Scouts Perspective Mike will talk about which players played well and which players got exposed. He will talk about strengths and weaknesses and what went wrong against the packers.

Patmon wasn’t playing well this year, but how does he get cut for poor performance when Street has been even worse is still on the team and playing?

  • I said street and Escobar were busts from day one. White got cut for not wearing a suit. SMDH

COWBOYS NEVER HAVE BEEN ABLE TO STOP LACY, THAT WAS THEIR GAME PLAN AND IT WORKED AGAIN

  • Californy

Dont understand the Patmon release I thought he was a good coverage CB.  Claiborne is more a zone CB than a man CB, not a good one either

  • Californy

Cassel played scarred and it showed.  The Interception Cassel had, I believe was more on Dez than it was on Cassel

  • Californy

Dez mailed it in when he sat out this team training camp.  He has never caught up since then.

  • Californy

Blake Bortles look great despite not having a well known RB, WR on that team at 30 td to 13 interception

  • Californy

Cowboys are flawed they win and loss with Romo.  No team should be build around one player but rather a collective unit on the defensive and offensive side of the ball.

  • Californy

The only time Dallas cant run is on 3 and one.  The Cowboys offense is so transparent to their opponent

  • Californy

I always look at other team Practice squad this time of the season.  Many team are moving up player to protect them.  I would like Cowboys to go after Alanzo Harris to help improve our short yard run situation  at 6-2 240 lbs rb.  http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=alonzo+harris+youtube&view=detail&mid=863B84C3F7B016A201C3863B84C3F7B016A201C3&FORM=VIRE5

I believe we need to upgrade the DL position to help Gregory and some of these other players.  I though Kikaha was playing very well untill he been injured the last 6 games

  • Californy

JJ and JG are trying to sell their draft picks who have so far underachieved.

Californy More on Cassel, since Witten was wide open for the TD.

  • gcarr1213

Californy Allen Robinson has become a good WR for them. Bortles still has too many tunovers, not just INT, fumbles as well.

  • Californy Good point

  • Californy thats because they always line up the same way on 3rd down and 99% of the time it’s a run up the gut.

  • gcarr1213 Californy I have hearns on one of my fantasy teams. he is money. He had at least 1 TD like 8 games in a row

  • gcarr1213 Californy everyone only mentions Witten. Bease was wide open in the flat under Dez for a TD on the same play.

  • gcarr1213 It maks no sense. When it comes to Moore it’s experience, but look how many undrafted and regual rookies they throw at Marinelli to use on defense. Cutting Patmon for a practice aquad player may be a bad idea. I think White was much better than Patmon anyway. They cut him too. They are trying to make Jones and outside guy and he should be playing FS.

CowgirlCas22 gcarr1213 Californy Witten was even more open though, literally Witten could have still been running, as how open he was, since no one was even in coverage to that side. As far as Beasley goes being open, I still bet Romo locks onto Witten in that situation.
