untitled1In this episode of the “Red Light Sports Ramble”; presented by the Red Light Sports Network, Evan and Troy recap the weekend in sports and discuss the newest off the field issue that happened to Aldon Smith of the San Francisco 49ers.  The Milwaukee Brewers extended their winning streak to nine games by sweeping the Pittsburgh Pirates.  Bubba Watson held off Jordan Spieth to win his second Green Jacket at the Masters.

Just as the NFL was letting the dust settle with the Colin Kaepernick issue in Miami; Aldon Smith decided that he was going to cause a scene at an airport.  This just adds to a long line of off the field incidents.  Smith had already been placed in treatment for substance abuse in the middle of last season.  Before that incident he had pleaded not guilty to three felony counts of illegal possession of an assault weapon.  Smith was randomly selected to be screened a second time at a terminal.  Apparently, Smith was not happy about this and decided to say that he had a bomb.  Who in their right mind decides to blurt out that they have a bomb at an airport?  A second screening may be a bit inconvenient; however, it takes a matter of seconds and off you go to your flight.  With all that is going on in the world, the TSA is trying to take the necessary precautions.  This now marks the third incident for the San Francisco 49ers in the offseason.  With Kaepernick and Smith; Chris Culliver was arrested on suspicion of felony hit and run.  Have the 49ers become the “bad boys” of the NFL?

The Milwaukee Brewers added more gas to their fire and extended their winning streak to nine games.  The Brewers continued to ride on the shoulders of their starting pitching.  They kept the Pittsburgh Pirates bats silent and took advantage of every opportunity to keep their winning streak alive.  2013 MVP Andrew McCutchen, dropped a routine fly ball.  Later, after a swinging third strike that landed in the dirt, Tony Sanchez misfired the throw to first base.  This routine play that is about as automatic as an NFL extra point led to two runs for the Milwaukee Brewers.  The Brewers take on the St. Louis Cardinals Monday night to try to extend their winning streak to 10.

Did you watch the Masters this weekend?  That was a big question Monday with no Tiger Woods in the field.  Bubba Watson was not asking that question as he put his arms in the Green Jacket a second time.  He finished -8 and had a solid day on Sunday to hold off the 20-year-old Jordan Spieth.  The breaking news in the world of golf is that Tiger Woods will not participate in the US Open.  How will this affect the ratings for the PGA?

I have not heard of anything that Desean Jackson did that should warrant NFL punishment. I am Ok with Skip Kelly going another direction, Desean as a player is far from being done as a player

SF team has had a bad off season for these off the field incident. But at the same time I am not looking for Choir boys in the NFL. I wondering what Goodall will do with the owner that acted up in the NFL with his drunk driving

There was an article I just seen today where the NFL is ignoring the mental health of it player. Aldon Smith is a very hard worker, the mental lapse are taking the SF 49 ers by surprise, It doesnt make sense why anyone would do a false bomb threat. No sane person would do that. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/nfl-must-do-more-to-monitor-the-mental-health-of-its-players-041414
