Booing-FansIn this Saturday episode of the Red Light Rant“, Evan and Troy discuss two topics that they have a passionate opinion about.  Do you think that it is ok for a fan to boo when their team is not playing well?  Troy tweeted this question out on Friday night, and it was pretty overwhelming to me that people said  it should not happen.  Some people will say that it is the right of the fan to do as they please because they are paying money to see a good product.  So if the product is bad they should be able to do what they want.  Others will say that loyal fans never boo.  Fans should support their team in good and bad times, almost like a marriage vow.  Listen to what Evan and Troy think in this episode of the Red Light Rant.

The second topic was brought up by a group from Northwestern.  They proposed that college athletics should form an athletic union.  Evan and Troy both agree that this topic is so broad that it can open up so much conversation and lead into something new every time it is discussed.  Currently, the NCAA is the governing body over college athletes and has a rule book that is about as dry as a drought in the middle of summer.  The NCAA policies do not benefit the student athlete at this time.  Even if a student is playing college athletics, when would they have time to work for extra money?  College athletics is like having a full-time job, there is practice, film study, games, weight room, etc.  When the seasons are over, who is the one benefiting from the packed stadiums and arenas?  It is not the student who is paying college athletics?  Listen to what Evan and Troy think about this proposed idea on the Saturday episode of the Red Light Rant“.

As a coach some times you have to rip them up to get them back on the same path.. I dont rip up my player during the game, that just my choice.

The purpose of the Union it to get a contract to work under, they are refer to a Collective bargaining agreement., CBA. The NCAA is a multi million and Billion industry that operate under free labor given to by the player. Who is liable for a long term injury suffer by the player who no longer can live a normal life.

There are some college team that have bigger average attendance than many NFL teams. In 2012 USC had just under 88,000 per game, this year Cowboy average just a hair above the 88,000 in 2013

So your point of view is to trust the good of the Multibillion dollar industry to do the right thing, yeah right, lol

The first thing that should be given is a life time health care to the player base on a formula on playing time and participation. I believe the College Medical Center should provide this coverage. DR should come back to pay off their loans this way
