JerryKramerFullIn this episode of the Red light Sports Ramble, Evan and Troy welcome two guests into a short time frame.  World Cancer Day is February 4th, a time to reflect and speak out about cancer, those who we have lost, those that have survived, and those still fighting.  The true heroes are the ones that fight and keep fighting, they are an inspiration to us all.

Molly Lindquist joined the show to talk about her courageous battle with breast cancer.  In turn, she wanted to do something so that a family history of cancer would not affect her daughters.  Therefore, she and her husband started a website called Consano.  This website allows people to donate funds to a specific type of research.  Many of us will give to a charity and that is the last we see of our money.  This website is set up to allow the person to donate funds to a specific type of medical research that is being done.  The donor can read about the project, why it is being done, what the funding will be used for, and ultimately find out who the research will benefit.  The amazing thing about this site is the testimonials / blogs that are written.  These blogs can bring tears to the eyes of even those people (like Troy) that don’t shed many tears.  Check out CONSANO.

Alicia Kramer joined the show to talk about her Dad; Jerry Kramer.  Jerry Kramer was a 5 time All-Pro Guard for the Green Bay Packers in the Vince Lombardi days, and was a key component on a line that made the “Packer Sweep” so succesful.  He was voted to the NFL’s 50th Anniversary All-Time Team, yet he is the only player from that team that is not in the Professional Football Hall of Fame.  Alicia has been gathering support to try to get her Dad in the Hall of Fame.  There are numerous reasons that come up, but none that seem very substantial.  She talks about why her Dad should be in Canton with all the other greats of the game.

Listen to this episode of the Red Light Sports Ramble and hear about how Consano is helping medical research; along with why Jerry Kramer should be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
