In this episode of the Red Light Sports Ramble presented by the Red Light Sports Network, Evan and Troy discuss two topics circulating around the sports world this week. The NCAA Tournament is right around the corner.  “March Madness” is something that gets the world of basketball excited.
Wichita State ended their regular season unbeaten at 31-0 and are currently ranked #2 in the AP poll.  As the selection committee starts putting together the NCAA Tournament Bracket, there will be a tough decision to be made.  Even though Wichita State is unbeaten, the debate is whether or not they are one of the top 4 teams in the country.  The top 4 teams will receive a number 1 seed, which on paper is an easier road to the Final Four.  The biggest argument against Wichita State is their schedule. Depending on which ranking system you look at, Wichita State is ranked around 100.  According to the web site Basketball State , the Shockers are ranked 110.  Although the Shockers are residing at #2 in the AP Poll, are they better than Virginia, Villanova, Syracuse, or Kansas who are respectively ranked 5, 6, 7, and 8?
As Monday came and went, teams had to decide if they wanted to put the Franchise or Transition tags on their players.  Well as thought, Jimmy Graham was slapped with the Transition Tag.  This means that a team could sign Jimmy Graham for two #1 draft picks and the salary that comes with the Transition Tag.  A tweet had been sent out by Adam Schefter asking if people thought the Seahawks or Packers should jump in and make this move.
Listen to what the boys think about both of these topics on the Red Light Sports Ramble.
